What is STEAM Works?
STEAM Works is a hands-on learning space in Elk City, OK where kids learn to use real tools through instructor-guided classes and projects. It's a shop, lab, and studio — not a classroom.

STEAM Works is for kids and young people who want to build, experiment, and create. Reach out to find out if it's the right fit for your child.
Is this a school or tutoring program?
No. STEAM Works is not a school, tutoring center, or daycare. It's a hands-on learning space focused on making, building, and using tools with instructor guidance.
PROGRESSION & MEMBERSHIP
What are Explorer, Innovator, and Vanguard?
These are the three progression levels at STEAM Works. Explorers learn the tools. Innovators prove they can use them. Vanguards combine tools to build and solve. Progression is earned through demonstrated capability, not time spent.
How does my child move up a level?
By demonstrating they can use tools safely and effectively. There's no automatic promotion — capability earns access.
Do kids need prior experience?
No. Explorer is the starting point for everyone, regardless of experience.
SAFETY & SUPERVISION
Is it safe?
Yes. Every session is instructor-guided and supervised. Tool certifications mean kids earn access to tools — not everyone touches everything on day one.
What does supervision look like?
Adults facilitate, coach, and supervise every session. The space is structured without being a classroom.
What if my child hasn't used tools before?
That's exactly what the Explorer level is for. Every member starts there.
