Youth makerspace

A detailed digital-art close-up of a customized makerspace “Explorer” workbench, featuring a small wooden toolbox with rounded corners, a translucent plastic electronics kit, and a bright-orange clamp holding a smooth pine board. The surface of the bench shows laser-cut patterns and carefully etched measurement lines. Behind the main subject, softly blurred shelves hold labeled bins of gears, colorful LED strips, and craft supplies. Cool white task lamps arch overhead, casting clean, focused pools of light that create crisp shadows and subtle reflections on metal screw heads. The mood is inviting and confidence-building, captured at eye level with a shallow depth of field, celebrating the first steps of hands-on learning for young builders in Elk City’s STEAM Works space.
